When I think about the Tantus 3-Speed Original Bullet Vibrator, I think about sex toys that get filed under the following categories: Need for the Moment” or “Perfect for Beginners”. Why do I say that? Well, my philosophy is that everyone should own a bullet vibe. It’s an essential sexual wellness item that has multiple uses. And I don’t care who you are: Man, Woman, or Mermaid. You should own one.
The Run Down
The idea behind the Tantus 3-Speed Original Bullet Vibrator is that it was pretty much made for Tantus dildos. The ones with those holes in the bases? That “hole” if you will, can house a suction cup so you can slap it up against a wall or sit on the floor and will it keep the didlo in place while fucking it. Or it can be used to house a vibrator. Something small and compact. Like a bullet vibe. That bullet vibe can add some extra stimulation while using the dildo. But you don’t need a dildo to use it. It can also be used by itself with a partner during sex or solo play.
Design and Materials
The Tantus Bullet is made of ABS plastic with what I believe to be silicone for the on/off/cycle through the intensities and patterns button and the small ring of it where the cap and the body of the body of the bullet meet. That purple piece is also what makes this bullet 100% waterproof. As for the design, it’s pretty traditional to what you see with bullet-style vibes on the market. With the addition of a shiny layer of plastic and pointed tapered tip. It is powered by what I believe are watch batteries, which are include with purchase, so no need to shop for additional batteries if you get it. In Use
Using this as a bullet vibe by itself, it was decent. I would describe the vibrations as 30% little bit of rumble and 70% buzzy. For a vibe powered by watch batteries the vibrations are good. Good for me? No. But that’s because I’m hard to please when it comes to clit toys. I am a woman with a clit of steel and simply need something powerful. Or at least some more intensities.
When they put the words “3-Speed Original Bullet” in the name and on the package, what they should have put was “2 Intensities and 1 Pattern Bullet”. I don’t exactly know why the word original is in there, but I’m not here to debate titles. Or am I? I know I sound crazy. Just give me a second if I’m losing you, I promise I’m going somewhere with this. One would assume that 3 speed means 3 intensities. That’s not the case here.
Using this, lying on my back, with that nice tapered tip on my clit, I started at the lowest intensity. I love It didn’t do anything for me, so I went on to the second intensity, which felt decently powerful but the more aroused I got, the more power I wanted. So when I went to turn up the intensity, I started to get a pattern that I could best describe as pauses of On/Off vibration. Similar to a 1, 2 step. Buzz, stop, buzz, stop, buzz, and stop. You get the drill. My clit was bewildered. Surely it was a mistake. Alas, it wasn’t.
The Verdict
Sometimes we come into contact with things we like, things we don’t like, and things are just not for us. This wasn’t for me. I will continue to use it as a starter vibe, but will need something stronger to finish with. I didn’t care for that pattern but I guess when “3-Speed” is put into a name, that’s up for the individual’s interpretation. I thought I was getting three intensities but Tantus had other plans. I will say if you’re someone in the market to try something different or if this would be your first bullet, and you’re not all the way sure about how comfortable you are with clitoral stimulation, you may like the pattern because it adds some variety.
As for other things that I liked and didn’t like about the Tantus 3-Speed Original Bullet Vibrator, I like that it has a tapered tip for pin point stimulation, I like that batteries are included with the product, I like that this bullet is very easy to travel with and is discrete if your trying to keep away from nosey people,I like that its easy to use, and I love the price. At $20, I think its a quality vibe.
Besides the power, my disliking of the pattern in place of a third intensity, and name issues, there wasn’t much to not like about it. I consider bullet vibrators to be both a sex toy essential that should be in everyone’s collection and a great beginner’s toy. You just have to find the one that’s perfect for you.
