Clit Bae #7: Blush Novelties Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe

I haven’t done a Clit Bae in a while and was thrilled when I was able to get my hands on the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe from Blush Novelties. I had seen it a while back and just knew it would be amazing. Or maybe I thought it would because of wishful thinking. Listen, I just want all the clit toys to win! Especially since I heard rumors about it being more powerful than the We-Vibe Tango, a clit toy that is well-known and loved by many including myself. So I wanted to see if the rumors were true.

Design and Materials

The Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe by Blush Novelties is made of ABS plastic and silicone, is waterproof, rechargeable, and has 10 functions of vibration (5 speed settings, and 5 patterns). Its cylinder shape and lipstick-looking tapered tip makes it ideal for clitoral stimulation.

In Use

For starters, the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe is not your average bullet. It is slightly larger and heavier than said We-Vibe Tango [As shown in picture below] and a regular traditional looking bullet vibe. Which if it were in fact more powerful than the Tango, it would make sense. I would just like to put in there that I don’t normally use other toys from a different brand as a point of reference for my reviews very often. You must understand however, that the We-Vibe Tango is very powerful and rumbly, giving me, a woman with a clit of steel, my first multiple orgasm. So if the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe is in fact more powerful than the Tango, that means it can knock it down a notch or a couple notches even and take a spot on my top 10 favorite clit vibes list. A list that is very hard to get on.

A heavier bullet and bigger body means a larger motor. If not, then why the hell is it heavy? It’s not necessarily heavy in terms of “Oh my god, I can’t hold it cuz it’s so damn heavy.” Just in comparison to other bullets, you can tell that it’s got a little weight to it. If this your first clit toy purchase, pay no mind to this. Did I also mention that the battery lasts longer than the We-Vibe Tango? I know how many sessions you can get out of a toy in one charge varies from user to user, but I found that I got 1 ½ more uses out of the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe than the We-Vibe Tango. As for using this with vibrator-compatible sex toys like the ones that allow a bullet vibe in the base or cavity, some sex toys may allow it to fit. Of course, always go on the side of caution and apply lube to the cavity of that toy and the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe. The Tantus Feeldoe and the Tantus Vibrating Anal Progressive Beads are examples of sex toys that allow a bullet vibe to be used in the base.

I find that plastic transmits vibrations more effectively than silicone. Silicone can sometimes muffle vibrations and make them seem dull. Blush Novelties made a great decision choosing to go with plain ABS plastic with no silicone covering, though that would still not be a bad idea by any means. I like variety. I also like that the plastic on the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe is matte but sparkly. Very pretty. And because its ABS plastic, it is compatible with all lubricants.

I would describe the vibrations as extremely powerful, mostly rumbly, teeny tiny bit of buzz. And I love every minute of it. The vibrations themselves are very fast, upbeat, and reach deep. Because they are so fast and rumbly, I find myself cumming faster than I would like to at times. And can we talk about a clit vibe with 5 – that’s right – 5 speed settings (intensities)? I thought I would never see the day. Not only does my clit of steel rejoice, it approves and I am in love. I know I might get in trouble for saying this, but- [Looks around nervously], the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe is the We-Vibe Tango’s big sister. There I said it and I stand by it. I will gladly debate anyone who thinks differently.

You see, the first speed setting (intensity) on the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe to me is like the second intensity on the We-Vibe Tango. I don’t apply the tip directly to my clit because I know I’m gonna cum before I want to. In fact, I rarely crank it up to the fifth speed setting (intensity). The fourth speed setting usually gets me there with no problem. When I want a quick orgasm, this is one of the toys I pick up. It has earned official nightstand drawer status. I’m not a pattern girl, so we won’t go there. But I do like that there are just 5 patterns and their vibrations are strong. I wouldn’t use this for ending however. I would cum during the process. And of course since it’s a bullet vibe, its slim enough to be used during sex without getting in the way.

My biggest problem with the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe is the buttons. This is the one time I wish a bullet went with the one-button function rather than a two-button function because I believe that would have made this vibe more functional. The two-button function allows for the user to efficiently cycle through the speeds and patterns with the option to back track if needed. I love the idea but not how it was executed with the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe. For one thing, you can’t tell the buttons apart when in use. Which is ironic because “Nocturnal” is in the name. The Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe. Where’s the lie sis?

This thing is designed to be used in the dark and the light in the base of this vibe is supposed to make sure that you can see the buttons when using it in said darkness. But that is not the case since you can’t tell the buttons apart when the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe is turned on. Which essentially defeats its purpose. And mind you, that light only had one job. You also can’t discern the buttons with tactile feedback which can make turning it off a bit of a challenge. A challenge made even harder when it’s turned on. How Sway? This is because the light is red and the silicone on the top is pink. I have mines in the color Raspberry. To prove my point, I went into the darkest place in my apartment and turned it on. Even though I could see the buttons, they looked exactly alike. I would suggest that if Blush Novelties is going to keep the two-bottom function that they would at least consider changing the color of the light to an opposite color of the silicone in the base. Like a blue or yellow perhaps. The contrast of the light against the silicone will bring more emphasis to the buttons, making them easier to tell apart.

Final Thoughts

I cannot deny how powerful the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe from Blush Novelties is. It gets me off every time and then some. Despite the issues I have with the buttons, the Exposed Nocturnal Lipstick Vibe has become one of my favorites. Would I suggest you pick one up? If you have a clit of steel like I do and you like powerful vibrations, then yes. This one’s for you.
