If you haven’t already figured it out by now, I really like Bullet-style vibrators. Especially rechargeable ones that are waterproof. So when I got the opportunity to review the Lovehoney Flash 7 Function USB Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator, I was very happy and pleasantly surprised that it had all of my minimum requirements for what I would call the perfect bullet-style vibrator. Waterproof, rechargeable, and made with body-safe materials. With that being said, let’s talk about it.
The Lovehoney Flash 7 Function USB Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is a bullet-style vibrator that is 100% waterproof and is rechargeable with a built-in usb that you can plug into anywhere where there is an outlet for discrete charging. And that Ladies and Gentlemen, might be the only good thing about this toy.
I decided to try this toy out because I liked the idea that u don’t have to connect it to a usb wire charger and doesn’t require any batteries. You see, this vibrator is made of two parts. One for the tip of the toy assumed for clitoral stimulation, which is made of body-safe silicone, and the bottom part, which houses the motor. That is made of ABS plastic and silicone.
The Flash looks allot like a memory stick except it doesn’t hold any memory. Would be very cool if it did though. When I think about a vibrator that looks exactly like this, I think of one word: convenience. Unfortunately, despite all of these great features of what could have possibly be the best vibrator ever made, its one flaw is its biggest downfall.
Its vibrations. One of the best Sex Bloggers in the game, Epiphora of Hey, once referred to the vibrations on the Lovehoney Flash as “A tiny gourd stuffed with bees from 54 B.C”. And I could not agree more. This thing has to be the buzziest vibrator in my possession. And while I don’t usually hold any type of expectations to any sex toy I try, I was expecting something spectacular because it already had so much going for it with its slim design, being rechargeable, not needing wires to charge it, and it’s really soft tip for the clitoral stimulation. It was perfect!
But as soon as I turned it one after giving it a good charge, I knew I wasn’t going to like it before I placed it on my clit. But that didn’t stop me from trying to like it anyways. Thinking to myself that maybe if I position it on my clit just the right way, that I could somehow get a decent orgasm out of it. Instead what I got was annoyance and no orgasm. The Buzzy .vs. Rumbly debate is real people. And If you don’t believe it, then you’re in denial, and I genuinely worry about your orgasms and how even greater they can be with a nice strong, rumbly vibrator. That vibrations reach as deep as possible, giving you some of the best orgasms you could ever have. Alas, this one isn’t it.
First I tried using the Flash the way I normally do when masturbating. I position it perfectly on my clit, close my legs and then watch some porn. This thing was on my clit, yet it felt like it was doing absolutely nothing. I then tired laying on my back and pointing it on my clit to no avail. Those damn buzzy vibrations did nothing but annoy my clit. Even on its strongest intensity.
And don’t get me started on the sound. It was like a group of loud bees buzzing in harmony, in the highest pitch possible. And while it was decently quiet for a vibrator, the noise was just nauseating. It definitely got me more out of the mood than in the mood. I could not get with this thing no matter how much I tried and I am highly disappointed.
I really wanted to like this toy. If I hadn’t said that a million times already. It has a great design and great features. It’s nice and slim, has a nice soft tip that is perfect for clitoral stimulation. But the buzzy vibrations on this toy set back by centuries. And the noise it mad when in use was mood killing. If you’re a woman with a clit of steel, you may not even feel the vibrations. The only way I can see this working is if Lovehoney went back to the drawing board, gave the Flash a bigger motor and made it with nothing but rumble. That would also make the battery last allot longer and maybe help it hold on to a charge, instead of letting it go after not being used for less than a month.
The only way I would recommend this toy to anyone is if they either like buzzy vibrations or like the design and other features of this toy so much, that they can look past the lack luster vibrations.
I will say however, if you’re looking for something to store your bullet vibes or any type of sex toy that you want to keep away from dust and animal hair , that you invest in some Lovehoney Small Satin Drawstring Toy Bags, which are great for travel and convenience.
