Wicked Sensual Aqua Flavored Lubricants Review

Flavored lube. Have you tried it before?

Today, I want to share with you my experience with some Wicked Sensual Aqua Flavored Lubricants. I heard good things about them and wanted to see if those things were true.

The Wicked Sensuals Wicked Sensations line features lubricants made specifically for masturbation, water-based lubricants, silicone-based lubricants, heating and cooling lubricants, a clitoral massaging gel, a masturbation crème, and so much more including flavored lube.  These lubricants are designed to add some enhancement and bring new sensations to your sexual experience.

What’s In It?

Here is a list of ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Stevia Rebaudiana Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Flavor.

I’m going to tell you right off the bat: If you are prone to yeast or urinary tract infections, do not buy or try this. While I’m not necessarily a huge ingredient snob, I have only used this on the male genitalia, dildos for testing, and my skin for testing. I did not use this on my own genitalia. With that being said, lubricants with glycerin have never been an issue for me when I do use it on my genitalia, and I have not experienced a yeast or urinary tract infection thus far, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you are prone to such things as stated above. And because glycerin is listed second in the ingredients list, there’s probably allot of it in there. If you aren’t sure how your body will react to it, you can always stop into your local sex toy shop and purchase a sachet or sample packet and see how your genitalia reacts. It’s gluten-free, paraben-free, made with no bi-products so its vegan, and no animal testing. So there are some positives there.

Packaging

I think the packaging of a product is just as important as the product itself. For example, have you ever went out of the way to not use a specific water bottle or tumbler to hold your liquids (coffee, tea, water, or juice?) because it would leak all the time? Or it’s just not ideal for travel and most importantly, not reliable? Whether you realize it or not, you may be more likely to avoid using a product if it’s not packaged well.

I like that the Wicked Sensual Aqua Flavored Lubricants bottles are small, slim, and available in 2oz and 4oz bottles, and are transparent. For a second, I was slightly annoyed that they didn’t come in 8oz bottles, but didn’t sit on the thought for too long since I like how travel-friendly the bottles are. You can essentially fit them anywhere. They both have pumps rather than disco top caps so you are dispensed the same amount of product every time you take a pump. I find that the 2oz bottle pumps out 1/16th of a teaspoon per pump and the 4oz bottle pumps out 1/8th of a teaspoon of lube per pump. I know this because I measured it. The pumps also have a twist lock and I found it to be convenient when traveling as it prevents leaks and accidental dispensing of lube.

Quality Control

The consistency can be described as thin but not watery. It’s a mover so don’t expect it to stay in the same place you applied it. Which I like because I like to apply lube to my partner and stroke them before engaging in oral sex. It’s slippery and spreads easily.

When it comes to glycerin, it’s not my favorite. Not because I have a sensitivity to it, I have used lubricants with glycerin many times with no issue. You know what? I actually do have an issue. I can’t stand how sticky lubricants that have glycerin in them can get. It can feel gross, sticky, and make you want to run to the nearest shower you can find once it starts to dry.

With this formulation, I found that there was no “ick factor” if you will. When I would apply some of the lube on skin and it dried, what I felt instead a little bit of tack when I touched it. When I took that same tackiness and rubbed in between my fingers, it felt silky. No stickiness whatsoever. The tackiness might be annoying enough for the receiver, if you slathered it all over their genitals or skin to want to shower afterwards, but that’s up to them. Some may find that using a damp cloth to wipe it off will suffice. I will say that multiple applications can cause stickiness. So either use sparingly or clean up afterwards. Showers together make great post-play.

The Taste Test

Vanilla Bean- Vanilla is always an interesting flavor to describe. I would say it has a sweet taste that isn’t over powering. I would best describe the flavor as a vanilla latté from Dunkin Doughnuts. If you don’t have a real sweet tooth, I’d say go for this one.

Pink Lemonade- What exactly is in a pink lemonade anyway? From my research, I found out that is a combination of cranberry juice, raspberry juice, and crushed strawberries. I get the brightness from the lemon flavor, which tastes exactly like lemons, and undertone of berries, which I assume to be an assortment of berries. A nice balance.

Sweet Peach- This one for me tasted like a bite into a crunchy nectarine or when you bite into a peach and the juices get all over your hand as you eat it. And I’m not mad at it. Peach in itself is a complex flavor and I feel as though it’s exaggerated with the sweetness from the sweetener and the glycerin because even if a peach was to be insanely sweet, it still wouldn’t be as sweet as this one. A personal favorite.

Candy Apple- This tastes exactly like an apple covered in caramel. That is not an over exaggeration. Whenever I squirt some on my tongue and close my eyes, I feel like at Coney Island eating a candied apple. Another personal favorite and repurchase.

Peppermint Cocoa (not pictured) – Sweet chocolate Hershey’s syrup with a hint of mint. Not a huge fan of chocolate, so this wasn’t my favorite.

Salted Caramel (not pictured) – While at the Sex Expo last year in September, I was given a sachet to taste and I instantly fell in love. The saltiness is like a flavor enhancer to the dull sweetness of the caramel. I need more of this in my life.

Final Thoughts

Flavored lubricants can be a hit or miss because everyone’s taste buds are different. In this case, they won me over. These lubes just don’t taste like some unknown flavor and sweetness thrown together. To me, they taste like what they say they’re supposed to taste like. I wouldn’t necessarily suggest this as a 3-in-1 to use for masturbation or penetrative sex because I just don’t think it’s appropriate. While the ingredients may not be great for some, I would still highly recommend these because of the quality in taste and presentation alone.
