Not just another cute face: Dorcel Wanderful Review

I know exactly what you thinking when you saw the title: who the fuck needs another wand massager? I do. And after reading my review, you might need a new one as well. Who knows? We can all use some extra orgasms. I got the opportunity to review the Wanderful from Dorcel and want to talk to you about it. Or you can just read this review like educational erotica. Either way, I hope you enjoy.

Some information on the Wanderful from Dorcel is that it is 7.87 inches long and 1.57 inches wide. It is made with 100% silicone and ABS plastic. It is waterproof, rechargeable, has 8 vibration speeds and 10 vibration modes (I like to call them patterns). It also comes with a black drawstring storage pouch.

Let’s talk about the design. This thing is so cute. I go the black and version of this toy. And I love the quilted design on the shaft of the toy. I think it’s not only beautiful, but it adds a nice grip and texture to the toy when it’s in use. I also really like that gold detail added to the bottom of the toy. You would think because its gold and shiny, it would look obnoxious or out of place. But it adds a nice classy aesthetic to it. A really nice touch. I would say that I don’t know if it will chip or flake in the long run, but so far so good.

The whole body of the toy is covered in this soft and silky feeling silicone that feels amazing on the skin and attracts every piece of lint and dog hair possible. But that’s normal for silicone. That bulbous head does feel soft but the head is not as flexible as I imagined it would be. It has a little bit of give but it’s not a big issue for me.

The motor on the Wanderful is STRONG. It’s very rumbly, which causes the vibrations to run deep. And because the head is not too big, the vibrations don’t spread, making this great for pin point stimulation. I also want to make note a feature on this toy that I think all wand massagers should have. When you turn the Wanderful on, do you know what vibrates? The head obviously. But for the most part, it’s just the head. While you do get a little bit of buzzing when holding the toy, it’s nothing major, so your hands won’t go numb from the vibrations that are supposed to be concentrated in the head.

The placement of the buttons are okay. The buttons aren’t hard to press and I like that the intensity button and the power button are separate. So when I need to turn it off I can just hit the power button instead of scrolling through different vibrations before turning it off. I also like that I don’t have to press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds. I love the charging cord. It’s very similar to headphone plugs, but the piece that goes into the Wanderful is slimmer and taller. So be careful when plugging it in. Another plus is that its usb rechargeable so I don’t have to plug it into the wall. I just plug it into my multi usb port and set it in my nightstand drawer since the cord is a nice length. And it being waterproof makes it ridiculously easy to clean and great for shower fun.

The first time I used the Wanderful, I felt as if I was holding a mic up to my clit. That silly thought went away when I turned it on and touched it my clit for the first time. The vibrations on this thing is serious. This vibe plays no games. It was so powerful that I had to pull it way. Another issue was since my hood doesn’t cover my clit all the way, I had to pull it down to use the toy. If not, it would feel as if I was being electrocuted by a vibrator.

Laying down on my back, I decided to try it again, but found that the vibrations as still too much, especially with starting my session with this toy. So I decided to see what was up with the patterns and they were ok. Nice and strong, but I like more consistency in my life, unless I’m on an extreme edging mission. I started going through the vibration intensities and immediately became pissed off. Or slightly annoyed I guess.

To my discovery, the Wanderful starts out on the strongest setting. Now why does this annoy me? Because I like to turn a toy on and have it start out on the lowest vibration setting so I can build up to the highest setting. I love the wide range of vibration intensities on this toy, but don’t like that it starts out strong. It’s like skipping foreplay, and straight to fucking. I don’t like that at all.

So I started cycling down the vibration intensities and since they repeat themselves, the toy began going from low to high, which was exactly what I wanted. Once that happened, I got nothing but crazy strong orgasms. I even played with tapping the toy on my clit on the highest setting, which felt amazing. I usually finish with all my vibrators on the highest setting. Being that this toy is strong, I usually don’t always get to pull the toy away from my clit in time to increase the intensity before I climax.

One issue I had with the toy, is when you move it too fast in your hand, it makes a loud bussing noise, which is totally different and louder than its usual quiet buzzing noise. Kinda sounds like a lightsaber. It startled me because it didn’t happen when I first got the toy, but wasn’t something I didn’t feel the need to complain about since it only happens when you move the toy, too fast. That doesn’t stop me from getting off with it at all.

Overall, I think the Dorcel Wanderful is a well-made toy that has very strong vibrations and is smaller than your traditional wand massager. I lie that it’s rechargeable and the charge does a long way. I usually can get two to three 20 minute uses out of the toy before having to charge it. Because its water proof and easy to clean, it a great body safe option for those who want a powerful vibrator that is discrete. It’s also very travel friendly and I like the drawstring storage pouch. I would also call this toy gender neutral, since it can be used all over the body.
