Have you ever expected something to not be great, and it completely knocks your expectations out of the water? You should know that I rarely read reviews on sex toys before trying them out myself. In this case, however, I didn’t have a choice even if I wanted to because there are barely any reviews out on this bullet, and I don’t know why. A decently priced bullet with 5 speeds and 5 patterns? You already know I had to see what it was about. And if there was a reason why there wasn’t a ton of chatter around it.
Design and Materials
The Screaming O Bestie Bullet is made of ABS plastic with a PU (polyurethane) coating. It is rechargeable via USB, waterproof, has five speeds (intensities) plus five pulse patterns, and comes in two colors: Purple and Pink. I have the Purple color. Additionally, it’s phthalate and latex-free and comes with a 2-year manufacture’s limited warranty.
Previous Encounters with Screaming O
I’ve had a couple of run-ins with Screaming O in the past. Specifically, when I was new to the wonderful world of sex toys. I didn’t directly purchase items from them myself. Instead, I received some of their toys through various “Sexy” subscription boxes I was subscribed to in an attempt to try multiple products like lube, toys, and kink items. I was trying to get more bang for my buck while figuring out what type of products I liked. What I loved about that was trying out cheap sex toys, then finding better quality upgrades similar to those items after establishing some favorites. Screaming O seemed to be a top pick for many of the boxes I was subscribed to because a fair amount of their catalog (Mostly watch battery-operated sex toys) was reasonably inexpensive. Body-safe? Not quite. But they weren’t meant to last forever, and I did find some gems.
In Use
Back to the present day, the Screaming O Bestie Bullet features a rounded tip that transitions into a cylindrical shaft, then into a squared base. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a revolutionary design, but the functionality of it is undeniable. At least for me, that is. Compared to a traditional-looking bullet, it’s a bit larger girth-wise while remaining small enough to fit in the palms of your hands. However, it might not fit most dildos that can be paired with a bullet-style vibe, turning it into a vibrating dildo. It also features a space in the base to add one of those lanyard thingies, in case you wanted to attach one to the bullet vibe for traveling or turning your vibrator into wearable jewelry, though I would like to know why one wasn’t included in the first place as it just seems kind of odd to make a place for such thing only to not include one in the box—a missed marketing opportunity, in my opinion. The squared base makes it easy to hold and grip on to, and its one-button operation makes it easy to use. I’m loving the haptic feedback that I get from the power button that’s not only nice and clicky but slightly raised, making it easier to distinguish while in use.
On my clit, the vibrations reach deep and are consistent. The way I normally use bullet-style vibes is by placing it on my clit and then closing my legs around it. I actually appreciate the squared base because I can increase the intensities and change the patterns without taking the bullet off my clit and its larger body helps keep the vibe in place on my clit hands-free. With this bullet, I like to start at the 2nd-3rd intensity and usually getting off around the 4th or 5th intensity. The vibrations don’t lose consistency or tapper off as the battery depletes. So you’ll know when it’s about to die when it doesn’t turn on at all.
The vibrations are mildly rumbly and increase with each speed. I say this for two reasons. Despite how it feels in the hand or on my clit, the vibrations sound buzzy. However, it does remain quiet even at its highest speed. Speaking of speeds, you get 5, which is quite generous for a bullet-style vibrator, in my opinion. Additionally, you get 5 patterns, which are nice, but the speeds are where it’s at for me. From time to time, however, I will use the patterns to do some edging when I feel like partaking in some delayed gratification.
The battery life is also pretty good. I find that I can get about 3-4 10-20 minute sessions out of this bullet before I needed to recharge it, which I do acknowledge is entirely subjective and based on several different factors. Since I’ve been sitting on this bullet for some time now, there’s no battery depletion, meaning I get the same amount of sessions now as I did when I first got it.

Remote-controlled bullet vibrators seem to be a new trend that’s slowly emerging within toy brands. While it has been around for a while, it’s still not something you see very often. None the less, it serves a purpose. Hands-free use of your bullet vibes, and in this case, you also don’t need to purchase batteries since they come already included.
To pair the remote to the bullet, simply turn the bullet on, and when the red light appears, instead of using the button on the vibe to cycle through the settings, use the up and down buttons on the remote. The settings will also round-robin when using the remote and can be paused (the remote will not turn the bullet off) when either the up or down button is pressed for 3 seconds.
Final Thoughts
I had low expectations for the Bestie Bullet because part of me wanted to think it was just another vibe thrown onto the market. I have to say, however, that Screaming O did a great job on this one. I continue to get some good orgasms from it and find myself using it with the remote for those lazy masturbation sessions, so it’s a yes for me.
