Clit Bae #6: Je Joue Classic Bullet

Bullet-style vibrators are in and of its self, a very simplistic idea. Usually the length of a finger, not too wide, one-button operated, and boom. It vibrates. When it comes to bullet-style vibrators, some may come to the hasty conclusion that if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. As a sex toy reviewer, I know that to be a completely false statement. So when Je Joue came out with their own version of a bullet vibe called the Classic Bullet, I wondered what their take on a bullet vibe would look like and if they were attempting to reinvent the wheel or give a unique take on such a staple.

Design and Materials

The Je Joue Classic Bullet follows the traditional build of bullet-style vibrator with its cylinder shape and tapered tip. It’s made of ABS plastic, silicone, rechargeable with 7 patterns and 5 five speeds with the option to customize the speed of each pattern, which gives you a grand total of 35 combinations of patterns and speeds to play with. There is a free finger-sleeve attachment also included.

Vibrations

Unique vibrations deserve to be further dissected and analyzed. When you turn the Classic Bullet on, the vibrations start out slow and rumbly. My best description of this would be a fast-paced tapping sensation. Like something is vibrating and tapping on my clit at the same time.

For more clarity and articulation purposes, depending on the motor size, the motor itself, and programing, some vibrators differ in vibration speeds. This has nothing to do with the intensity of each vibration speed or patterns themselves. You usually will notice it as soon as you turn on a vibrator and hear it. The vibrations can sound slow or fast-paced. Some people like slow vibrations and some like fast paced vibrations. It’s important to know what type of vibrations you like when trying to decide which sex toy you should buy. More on that later.

After the third speed, the vibrations start to become a mixture of rumbly and buzzy. The vibration speed itself increases and I can no longer feel the tapping sensation like I did at speed levels one and two. I found that the speeds flow allot nicer than other vibrators I have tried before and the transition through those vibrations are significantly smoother.

In Use

Let’s talk about its functionality in terms of how easy it is to use for its intended purpose. While it does take on the traditional look of a bullet vibrator, there is one distinct quality that make it unique. Maybe a potential game changer in my opinion.

With many traditional bullet-style vibrators, they are usually one-button operated. Which means that singular button is responsible for turning the bullet on, off, and cycling through the patterns and speeds (or intensities). With the Classic Bullet, you get three buttons. The + (plus) button is used to turn the bullet on and increase the intensity each pattern. The mode button ∞ (located between the + and – button) cycles through the 7 patterns, and the – (minus) button decreases the intensity of whatever pattern your using and turns the bullet off.

If you’re someone who has ever wished a particular pattern was more intensified or had a little bit more power to it, I think you’ll love this feature. It adds a layer of complexity to a very simple idea while still maintaining its ease of use and doesn’t necessarily require any relearning on how to use a vibrator. I will say however, that depending on how you use and position the Classic Bullet, you may find the buttons to not be as accessible as you like them to be. For example, I like to use my bullet vibes placed on my clit with my legs closed, lying on my side. Because I’m a little extra fluffy in the nether regions, depending on how I place the Classic Bullet, can determine how easy it will be to change the settings when I need to.

Another unique feature is that the tip of the Classic Bullet has some nice squish to it. In most cases, bullet vibes with tapered tips or tips at all, normally have a completely rigid body all throughout. Even if it’s covered in softest and silkiest of silicone ever, the body is completely rigid. With the Classic Bullet, the tip along with the silicone is soft but you can squish the tip which feels really nice. I personally think it transfers the vibrations well but didn’t find that it made a huge difference in the whole experience. A unique quality though.

I’m starting to find that many of the girthier bullet vibes that have been coming out lately are being used or in some cases advertised as a 2-for-1. Making them both a bullet vibe and an insertable toy. This ones no different. While i like the idea behind this as it offers versatility, I’m not a fan personally as I prefer a longer toy like a dildo with a bit of girth to it.

As for the finger-sleeve, I didn’t find myself using it much but that was more so my personal preference. I will say that it’s made of the same type of silicone as the Classic Bullet and has some nice stretch to it, so it’s very easy to insert and take the bullet out of the finger sleeve when desired. For easier removal however, I would suggest putting a little water-based lube around the bullet before inserting it into the finger-sleeve.

I did play around with it however and think it can be great for attaching the bullet to a dildo for some dual stimulation (just remember to use lube) or using it to give your partner some stimulation to their erogenous zones. Maybe you can blindfold your partner (with their consent of course!) and use the Classic Bullet all over their body for some heightened sensation play. Just throwing that out there.

Final Thoughts

If I were to compare the Je Joue Classic Bullet to other bullet-style vibes that I own in terms of power, I can’t say that this is the most powerful. I also can’t stay it’s the most underwhelming one I have encountered either. It’s a nice medium that I would still place on the powerful side of the spectrum than not. If your someone looking for a bullet vibe that offers slower vibrations rather fast past ones, a vibe that’s decently powerful with the added feature of being able to customize the intensity of the patterns, I can certainly recommend this one. I would also like to add that at the price point of $60, this is definitely a bang for your buck!
