Jimmyjane Form 2

Oh Jimmyjane. What is you doin’ baby?

I always wanted to try the Jimmyjane Form 2 for as long as I could remember. And when I was finally given the chance to, I was beyond thrilled. I’m not even going to try and pretend like I didn’t do a little happy dance when it arrived. I’m just happy that my dog was the only one who witnessed my terrible footwork.

Design and Materials

The Jimmyjane Form 2 is a sex toy designed for clitoral stimulation that features two separate motors in each ear, is supposed to be ergonomically designed to be held in the palm when in use, is made of 100% silicone, rechargeable, and is completely waterproof.

Travel Lock and Charging

Let’s talk about the travel lock first. I don’t like it. I love it. I love vibrators that come with travel locks and Jimmyjane was very much one of those companies that was ahead of its time by adding the feature to their toys. I don’t believe their the first to do it, but I have to mention it since it seems to be something many sex toy makers are adding to their toys now, making them more travel-friendly.

The vibration mode button and the plus button must be pressed simultaneously in order to activate and deactivate the travel lock. However, I found that in doing so, I would accidentally turn it on because the plus button is also the power button. Maybe I’m not pressing the button together quick enough to avoid that. Even though the manual already states how to activate the travel lock, I’ll give you some tips:

1.Press and hold the plus button and vibration mode button simultaneously. The Form 2 will turn on but will eventually shut off within less than five seconds, as the travel lock will be activated.

2.If you don’t wish to risk accidental turn-on while activating the travel lock, you can press the vibration mode button first and then the plus button for 2 seconds.

And while it isn’t a big deal for me, the Form 2 immediately buzzing to life as soon as the travel lock is deactivated is something I don’t care too much for.

Now onto that damn charger. It was the best of times and it was the somewhat worst of times? I found that it wasn’t always easy to get the Form 2 to charge. It has to sit in its charging dock a specific way and sudden movements are not conducive as it will slip out of place and the charging will stop. So wherever it’s being charged at has to be in an area where there isn’t much movement. Like a flat surface. With that being said, once you charge it for 2 hours (you must initially charge it for 8 hours before its first use), I found that I got many sessions out of it and it didn’t die on me. Of course that dependent upon how long you’re using it and the intensity that it’s at when being used. Because you can’t overcharge the Form 2, it can sit on its charging dock as a storage option.

Telling when it’s completely charged can be confusing if you don’t read the manual. For example: There is no flashing light of any sort that indicates that the Form 2 is charging. When properly placed on the base, it will hold a solid color to indicate that it’s charging. When you take it off the charger, it will blink a number of times, indicating the level of charge. The dock will also deactivate the travel lock, so keep that in mind before you toss it into your bad right off the charger.

The Vibrations

I would describe the vibrations on the Form 2 as a ratio of 7:3. As in 70% buzzy and 30% rumbly. This is a buzzy vibe. Or at least that’s what I think. The higher the intensity, the less buzzy it is. It’s not buzzy in an annoying way but buzzy in an “I can so get you off but you may have to use me on high.” Kind of way. I am by no means trying to be nice to this thing. Or mean. Point is, homegirl (Form 2) has some potential. I hope I’m not confusing anyone there. My statements sound a tad bit contradictory but I’ll present more clarity later on.

The Form 2 has 4 patterns of vibration (modes) accompanied with 5 intensities (speeds). So you can increase the intensity (speed) of each pattern (mode) which I actually think is pretty cool. It’s like turning up the Volume when you hear your favorite song playing. Vibrators for the most part usually come with 3 or 4 modes of intensity and 4 patterns. So those first 3 or 4 settings are usually a pattern of vibration that just consistently vibrates steadily with no interruption. With the Form 2, you get a completely customizable experience.

Being able to pair vibrations (modes) with intensities (speeds) made me, a girl who normally hates patterns, eager to experiment. While I will say that patterns are still not my thing, I enjoyed playing around with the vibrations on the Form 2 for edging[1].

In Use

I tend to use the Jimmyjane Form 2 the same way every time. Lying down on my back, legs spread with my clit sandwiched between those two bunny ears. No matter what pattern it’s on, I almost always have to start at the second or third intensity. I am a woman with a clit of steel, and no I will not stop telling you that in my reviews, so get used to it. The first intensity doesn’t do anything for me.

The vibrations against my clit felt good especially because there’s two points of stimulation on either side of my clit. So even when it was on the lower intensities, I was still getting some good stimulation with it. It seemed to get rumblier as the intensity of each pattern increases. I would also like to add that the silicone is matte, silky, and feels nice on the skin. There is a seam that you can see between the ears, but I didn’t feel it when its on my clit. Of course use water-based lubricant only as silicone lubricant can degrade silicone toys.

However, I found that the vibrations would flutter in and out of each ear, which was annoying and something I couldn’t ignore even at its highest intensity on my favorite pattern. It forces me to concentrate more in order to cum. So in other words: It took a little bit longer to cum than it normally would and made me enjoy the ride more. Ya know, stop and smell the roses kind of thing? When I’m about to cum is when I find the fluttering to be most beneficial.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Jimmyjane Form 2 is what I would call an all-around good vibrator. It’s rechargeable, waterproof, travel-ready, and decently powerful. The charging system may be a little confusing at first, but I think you’ll get a good amount of uses per charge. Of course that depends on how long you use it. In terms of power, it has potential. Do I think this vibe falls into the category of “Luxury”? Hell yes.
