The Satisfyer Pro 2 and Pro 2 Next Generation Review and Comparison

When the Satisfyer Pro 2 came out, it almost immediately caught everyone’s attention. It was affordable, unique-looking, and offered an orgasmic experience like no other. Hell. Even sex bloggers who didn’t want to like it couldn’t ignore how good it was at delivering intense clitoral orgasms and how well-priced it was and still remains. However, when taking a look at Satisfyer the company, I couldn’t ignore the similarities between them and the Womanizer brand (Epi24) as the Womanizer came out first and both brands have a line of toys that utilize very similar technology. Additionally, both companies were founded in Germany. When the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation came out, I wondered how a sex toy that seems practically perfect be in need any more improvements. And exactly what improvements did Satisfyer feel they had to make to an already successful toy? Let’s find out.

Satisfyer Pro 2 and Pro 2 Next Generation Design and Materials

Both toys are very similar in shape, design, and materials. They are both made of silicone and ABS plastic. To me, they resemble the shape of a telephone or a thick, curvier, and prettier version of an otoscope. The body itself tappers off in the middle almost like an hourglass, making it nice to hold in the hand. Both versions come in a sole rose gold color, the Pro 2 featuring a shiny smooth version of the color, whereas the Pro 2 Next Generation features a matte look that is slightly less smooth to the touch. I’m so loving the color and wish it was utilized more often among sex toy manufacturers.

You know me and my need for detail right? So both versions have a seam that runs all around either side of both toys. When you look at the pictures, you’ll what I mean. It’s not the biggest deal in the world since they are both waterproof and can be cleaned efficiently. However, keep in mind that if you get any bodily fluids or lube in those seams, pay a little extra attention to the seam when cleaning it.

Technology

Both the Satisfyer Pro 2 and Pro 2 Next Generation utilize pressure wave stimulation and contactless clitoral stimulation technology that some have even gone as far to compare it to the feeling of oral sex. Many aren’t sure how the technology actually works, but many seem to like it. I personally try my best not to compare the stimulation and sensation I get from a sex toy to that of a human being because we already have enough problems with people thinking that they’re going to be replaced by a sex toy. Which is not a real thing people. My sex toys provide me with a unique experience/enhancement and comparing that to a human being kinda takes the fun out of it.

What’s in a Name?

The names these toys have been given are very odd. I surmise that in trying to get a leg up on their competition, Womanizer (Epi24), the name Satisfyer Pro 2 was supposed to be some type of “new and improved” thing while slowly disassociating themselves from the Womanizer brand and their line of toys. This however backfired when it came to naming their now successor, the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation. It made me scratch my head. Thinking to myself “I thought the Satisfyer Pro 2 was the successor.” I mean “Pro 2” in and of itself sounds like the second or newer version of something does it not? With that being said, the Satisfyer brand has went on to create different and unique models of their toys that utilize the same pressure wave stimulation/contactless stimulation technology. But we’ll talk about some of those later on. As in more reviews on toys from the Satisfyer brand are in the near future.

Satisfyer Pro 2 in Use

Let’s talk about how I got my hands on the Satisfyer Pro 2. It was my very first year attending the Sex Expo in NYC. I went up to the Satisfyer booth and took a look at all the different models they had. I was talking to the person at the booth, gave her my business card, and she gave me one in the manufacturers retail sample packaging. The first time I used the Satisfyer Pro 2, I didn’t know what to make of it and was a little apprehensive about using it. “What if it sucks too hard on my clit?” I wondered. Just the thought made me wince. But of course, as any sex toy connoisseur will and should advise, I turned the toy on and placed it up against the palm of my hand before placing it on my genitals just in case I had an adverse reaction to the sensations. “Not bad.” I thought. After my apprehension disappeared, I knew it was time. My body was ready.

When it came to my personal experience with the Satisfyer Pro 2’s sensations, I felt a little bit of sucking paired with vibration and a tapping sensation.  As if I were tapping on my clit with my finger but my clit was vibrating from the inside. The sensations were similar to that of the Womanizer I reviewed a while back, but I found the sensations to be more intense. The vibration and tapping sensation in particular felt as though it was reaching deeper into my clit, which would usually cause me to either cum prematurely or squirt.  And depending on the day, I was not trying to make a mess.

I found that when using the Satisfyer Pro 2 with no lubrication added to my clit, where the nozzle would be placed, the sensations were more intense and sometimes uncomfortable, especially when I moved the nozzle suddenly after holding it in one place on my clit at a time. I found however, when too much lubrication was added, for me that would be my own natural lubrication, it would make a gurgling noise, which wasn’t very helpful since its already pretty loud before and even after I placed it over my clit. I don’t really know how to describe the intensity of the sensations other than saying that the sensation of the sucking, tapping, and vibration get increasingly stronger as you scroll through the intensities. So if your someone who enjoys those intense sensations like myself, you will love the this toy.

Let’s talk about functionality. In my “Design and Materials” section of this review, I talk about how the Satisfyer Pro 2 and Next Generation both having what I think is pretty well-designed handle. It fits well in the hand, is comfortable to hold for extended periods of time. I think it’s important to mention this as sometimes a sex toy can be cute and fun to hold, but not functional to use because of its shape. When using either of either the Satisfyer Pro 2 or Pro 2 Next Generation, I find myself holding it at the top or the part where the nozzle is over my clit during use. If you look at the pictures posted, you’ll see what I mean. When powering on the Satisfyer Pro 2 and while in use, there is a light that sits in between the power and cycle button that stays on during use. I didn’t find it to be a bother as it’s not that bright but if you’re finicky about things like that, then it might annoy you. I usually only care about stuff like that if the light is unreasonably bright.

Oh! Small mention on battery life. It lasts forever. I mean granted nothing lasts forever but I do find that I don’t have to charge it too often. This does of course depend on the duration of usage and the intensity, but for the most part it’s not a toy that dies on me often.

Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation in Use

There are three big differences/improvements that have been done with the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation. For one, the scroll button now has a plus (+) and minus (-) added to it so you can dial up and down from the lowest intensity to the highest and vice versa. With its predecessor the Satisfyer Pro 2, you only had the option to dial up the intensity, but not to dial it back down, unless you scroll all the way up to the highest intensity and press the scroll button until the intensities started to go backwards or turn the toy off all together and start over. If you’re someone who likes to play around with your intensities, the single-button function on the Satisfyer Pro 2 might have been annoying to you, so its successor fixed that problem. For me, I had already gotten used to this and didn’t find it to be a problem as I rarely dial my intestines down while using a toy unless I have to discontinue use to go do something else. I will say that both models provide an ample amount of tactile feedback when pressing the buttons and have a separate on/off button which I like allot.

The second and most important improvement is the larger hole on the nozzle, which is the only part of the Satisfyer that comes in contact with the body. The hole is slightly larger than the hole on the Satisfyer Pro 2. Just the hole and not the size of the nozzle itself. Where I could not only fit the tip of my finger into the nozzle hole on the Pro 2, I can a little over my fingernail into the nozzle. Now, what exactly does this do and how does this make the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation better? A larger whole might be great for those who have a larger clitoris. Most importantly, it can also intensify those already intense sensations of the sucking, vibrating, and tapping I was talking about with the Pro 2. Of which it does. And I have to make something very clear: I am a woman with a clit of steel that likes very strong vibrations and stimulation. As much as I try to, I rarely get to the highest intensity before cumming. It practically never happens. That’s how much stringer this thing is. I also find that I like to apply pressure to my clit when using it (both versions) and find that with the Pro 2 Next Generation, because the whole is bigger, I cause myself some discomfort when pressing it into my clit for two long. But that’s just me. Its designed to be placed on the clit, not pressed into it like I do.

The battery life to me is similar to that of its successor, the Pro 2. When it comes to noise, it’s also pretty much the same. I personally don’t think there will ever be such a thing a “Whisper quiet” Satisfyer, unless its sole function is to vibrate. It is slightly softer sounding on the first 3 intensities but not enough to where I found it to be significant. I personally think if you are using it pressed up against your clit in a room with the door closed, you should be fine. If someone walks into that room unexpectedly however, they will hear it.

While the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation is meant to be used exclusively for clitoral stimulation, I don’t see why it can’t be used on other erogenous zones like nipples, the head of a penis or along the shaft and balls, during sex or solo play with some internal stimulation like a dildo or a vibe and the Pro 2 Next Generation on the clit. This would also be great for using while blindfolding your partner. A nice switch up from a wand.

Final Thoughts

At this time, the Satisfyer Pro 2 is discontinued since its successor has hit the scene. So the real question is whether or not I would recommend the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation to you and my answer is absolutely, yes. If you already own the Satisfyer Pro 2, is it worth the upgrade? I don’t think so. I think if you already own one, you’re better off checking out a different model. If this is your first time looking at the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation and you’re looking to experience something more than just regular vibrations, then I highly recommend this. It’s undeniably powerful, functional, easy to use in my opinion, and affordable.
