What does the word Bliss mean to you?
The word Bliss by definition means perfect happiness or great joy. And for many, orgasms are a blissful thing. Just the stimulation of ones genitals or erogenous zones alone can be in and of itself, blissful. You see, it’s not just about getting to the final destination during sex, but also about the journey to it. Sex toys are tools that can used during said journey and today we will be focusing on wand massagers because they offer versatility and a great deal of power. Let’s talk about the Pink B.O.B’s Bliss Wand.
Design and Materials
The Bliss Wand is made of ABS plastic and has a silicone covered head. The buttons on the wand is also made of silicone. It is rechargeable via USB, features 20 patterns of vibration with 8 vibration speeds with the option to customize the speed of each pattern, and features a curved handle for a more comfortable reach. I had this whole spiel about describing the wand in more detail, but I’ll spare you.
In Use
The Bliss Wand looks like something that came out of the early 1960’s cartoon, The Jetsons. I would like to imagine if massage wands existed in that cartoon, it would look exactly like this. It has a round bulbous head, a silver accent, a light blue neck, and white silicone buttons. The only way I found it appropriate to describe the color of this wand is to imagine what would happen if the colors blue and grey had a baby. The color looks just like that. Its smooth looking and unique. Almost like a stormy blue. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other sex toy with a similar color before and would like to see more sex toys and bondage gear in this color.
Let’s talk design and functionality. This wand falls into the category of larger wands that have larger motors and larger batteries. A power house. Both these things combined usually mean that these wands are in theory not only powerful, but last longer in battery life, but of course that depends on upon usage. I mention this because when it comes to wands this size, you don’t see many that are curved like this one. The shape of this lets me easily reach my clit without added effort like trying to reach up or overextend myself in a way that would make me uncomfortable. The curvature of this wand is also great for those with reach issues, those who have a belly like myself, and find that wands with straight handles aren’t very helpful. The weight of this evenly distributed throughout. While most of the weight is this in the head, I didn’t feel like the weight was more on one side in the hand. The curvature was also great for using the Bliss Wand as a back massager because you can do that and its fairly lightweight for a large wand, so holding it up against your back in that same motion you would do to scratch your back isn’t going to feel like you did a whole hour at the gym on just your arms. I mean, I never heard of arm day, have you? Then again, I don’t work out unless it’s in the bedroom 🙂
The silicone head is easy to removable, durable, and easy to clean. As for the wand head itself, I don’t know if traditional wand attachments are going to fit. I would imagine wand attachments made for the Magic Wand would fit this wand with no problem as long as it’s stretchy enough or you can always add some lube to the inside of the attachment head for added caution. As for the neck, it’s decently flexible, but paired with the curvature of the wand handle, those who utilize the flexibility of a wand’s neck won’t miss the lack of flex here.
Let’s talk about the vibrations. They’re powerful. They’re fast and upbeat. As you increase the intensity of each vibration pattern, the vibrations get significantly faster and powerful at the same time which causes the vibrations to reach deep when I lay the Bliss Wand head on my clit. I always aim to get to the highest intensity of any vibrator when I am about to orgasm, but I don’t always make it there, usually cumming around the 4th intensity. I find that even though this wand features a bulbous head, you can still focus those vibrations exactly where you want them because there’s a teeny tiny bit of buzz. In my experience, some vibrators that have just rumbly vibration give good vibrations but I personally find it harder to focus those vibrations on my clit and find that they don’t reach as deep as I would like them to and feel as though thee vibrations kinda bounce up and down on my clit without giving me much stimulation. Now, if those same vibrations were put into a vibe meant for internal stimulation, that’s a whole different story but we’ll talk about that another time.
The biggest turn-off about this wand was the lack of spacing with the buttons. Why are they so close together? There’s so much space on this wand handle. Yet all the buttons are close together. I will say however, that the wand makes up for this buy having a lot of tactile feedback in those buttons which for me is more important than spacing because a toy with well-placed and well-spaced buttons doesn’t mean anything to me if I can’t tell them apart when touching them. The order of the buttons when holding the wand upside down makes it so that the power button is first, the pattern button second and the intensity button last.
Final Thoughts
I know I mostly focused on the design and functionality aspect of the Pink B.O.B Bliss Wand. This was intentional because there aren’t many curved wand massagers on the market and wands with this particular design are great for those don’t necessarily need a longer wand, but a wand that is shaped to cater to a particular need or limitation that has the power to get them off. I would highly recommend this wand to those with reach issues and those who can’t hold heavy items in the hand for extended periods of time.
