Clit Bae #9 An Ultimate Bullet Guide Vol.1

First off, I know its February, more like the end of February, but I still want to say it anyways- Happy New Years! I hope that 2019 will bring you more happiness, opulence, and orgasms than you can possibly dream of. Imagine your wildest happiest dreams intensified a thousand. Yes, I want that for you. For the New Year, I decided to start with something very close to my heart. Bullet-style vibrators. If you don’t already know, bullet vibes are the most favorite style of vibrator for many reasons: They’re great for the “Lazy Masturbator,” they’re discrete and small enough that you take them anywhere. Some people don’t care about their sex toy being “discrete,” but for those who do and when it’s needed, it’s a convenient feature to have because you can hide a bullet vibe pretty much anywhere.

Bullet-style vibrators are one of the most versatile kind of sex toy ever. While I mainly use mine for clitoral stimulation and lazy masturbation/solo-play as previously mentioned, bullet vibes can also be used for giving stimulation to erogenous zones, can be paired with sensation deprivation for an enhanced experience, used clitoral stimulation during partnered sex, and can turn any dildo that allows a bullet-vibe in its cavity/base, can turn it into a vibrator or vibrating dildo if you want to get technical.

Over the past three months, my clit and I have been testing out a ton of bullet vibes to bring you the Ultimate Bullet Guide. An extensive look at some of the sex toy industry’s best sellers and newest additions to hit the scene and hit the ground running or not in a case or two. In a sea full of sex toys, sometimes finding your perfect match just isn’t as simple as it seems. Hopefully, this guide will present you with some options and help narrow down your choices.

iVibe Select iPlease Rechargeable Bullet Vibe

Design and Materials

The iVibe Select iPlease Rechargeable Bullet Vibe from Doc Johnson is made of silicone and ABS plastic. Additionally featuring a cylinder shape with a slanted tapered tip for pinpoint stimulation and a silicone grip ring for easy handling, it’s also water-proof, rechargeable via USB/magnetic charging, has 20 patterns of vibration, and is available in pink and purple.

Review

I’m not gonna hold you up. The iVibe Select iPlease Rechargeable Bullet Vibe has to be one of my most used sex toys since making its arrival to my house. Compared to the larger style of bullet vibes that’s been on the market as of late, the iPlease Bullet is medium in size, which is my preferred size for bullet vibes in most cases. I don’t exactly know if the matte coating on this bullet is in fact silicone. From my personal experience, I have seen the same “material” labeled as a PU (Polyurethane) coating. Sex toy manufacturers are not required to list all materials on their labels, so they can essentially say anything they want. PU or Polyurethane usually coats a sex toy made with plastic to give it a velvety soft feel while being non-porous, and there are some condoms made from this material as an alternative to traditional latex condoms. I personally am a fan of the PU coating on sex toys, so it doesn’t bother me.

The best part about the iPlease bullet are the vibrations. They are rumbly with a little bit of buzz but otherwise very powerful. My clit is not a huge fan of patterns, so the first three intensities are where it’s at for me. From time to time I’ll use the patterns for edging, it’s not a constant occurrence. I always get an orgasm every time I use it, and sometimes just one the second intensity. I will say that the battery life is decent. It says on the box that you can get an hour and a half of use off an hour and a half of charge time. Of course, this varies with the user, but I will say with how I use the bullet, I get at least an hour exactly. If you’re wondering whether or not you can use this with other sex toys that allow for a bullet to be inserted into the cavity, the short answer is maybe. It really depends on how much give the material of the cavity has. I strongly suggest putting some water-based lubricant on the bullet and inside the cavity should you choose to test it out.

Rianne S Classique Vibe with Storage Bag

Design and Materials

The Rianne S Classique Vibe features a cylinder shape with a rounded tip, is made of silicone and ABS plastic. It has 7 vibration settings (3 speeds and 4 patterns) and comes with an included storage bag.

Review

I can’t help but get “First ever vibrator feels” from the Rianne S Classique Vibe. I mean, it’s perfect for a first time user looking for an inexpensive vibe with some decent power. The tip is tapered/pointed enough to deliver pinpoint stimulation and is large enough to be used internally without overwhelming a first time user. Of course, that will depend on your familiarity with using toys internally. I decided to make this a part of the #ClitBae series because it has a bullet-esk aesthetic to me, though it would be considered the largest bullet sex toy I own. It’s still small enough to fit practically anywhere for the most part.

The vibrations are nice. When I say buzzy yet decently powerful. The Rianne S Classique Vibe, considering that it is only powered by a single AA battery, does very well for itself in the power department. Take into consideration that the power of battery-operated sex toys relies solely on how much juice the batteries you put in them have. So if you want to get the most power out of your battery-operated sex toys, try not to use the batteries from your TV remote that you haven’t changed in months. Pick up a new pack of batteries to give it a fair shot.

Cal Exotics Rechargeable Bullet

Design and Materials

The Cal Exotics Rechargeable Bullet features a cylinder shape with a rounded tip, made of ABS plastic, is waterproof, rechargeable, and has three speeds.

Review

This one actually surprised me because I wasn’t expecting much from it. Now, don’t get me wrong. It’s not the strongest bullet out there. It does, however, have some potential. For one, I personally dig the over-simplicity of this bullet. Without trying to sound redundant, I don’t care for patterns much. So a vibe with nothing but speeds/intensities always puts a smile on my face. With that being said, this one only features three, and they are crazy buzzy. It’s almost twice the length of what you would call a traditional-looking bullet, but should be able to fit in a dildo that allows for a bullet to be placed in its cavity.

The Cal Exotics Rechargeable Bullet doesn’t turn on as soon as you press the power button. More like a 3-second intermission before it buzzes to life. Its crazy lightweight and doesn’t take up much space, so you can put it pretty much anywhere. Going back to the vibrations (sorry for going all over the place with this one), while I do see some potential in this bullet, it didn’t get me off. It’s a “me” thing really. I just need more power. I find myself using this as a starter toy before switching to another toy.  So if you’re someone looking for a first-time vibe, something relatively small with decent power, or a vibe for travel, then this one might be for you.

Sensuelle Point PLUS Silicone 20 Function Bullet with Silicone Tips

Design and Materials

The Sensuelle Point PLUS Silicone 20 Function Bullet with Silicone Tips is made of silicone and ABS plastic. It’s submersible, rechargeable via USB/charging stand, has twenty functions of vibration. It features a cylinder body with a pointed tapered tip for pinpoint stimulation and comes with two textured silicone tips.

Review

I’m not new to this brand or this bullet. The new features, however, I am unfamiliar with. You see, years ago when I first started building my sex toy collection, which was literally less than ten sex toys and way before my sex blog, I discovered the Sensuelle Point Rechargeable 20 Function Bullet and instantly fell in love. I still use my old one till this very day, but when I saw that they came out with a new and improved version of the toy, I knew I had to get my hands on it because I just knew it was gonna be good. And let me tell you, it’s damn good.

This vibe, however, is not without its cons. The biggest one being its two-button operation which allows you to cycle through the twenty vibration functions and goes backward and forwards without having to turn the vibe on and off again as you might do with a single-button operated vibe that has twenty vibration functions. Which I personally think is just way too many. My issue is with the buttons. At first, I thought it would be a great idea to have two buttons on a bullet vibe because it would always annoy me when I would have to turn my vibe on and off because the intensities (Pattern of steady vibration with no break or interruption) are usually the first 4 or 5, in this case, 5.

However, both of the buttons on the Sensuelle Point PLUS Bullet are the same with no indicator as to which button increases or decreases the vibrations. To make matters more vexatious, both buttons turn the vibe on/off, which is a good thing because you don’t have to fiddle around with the buttons to turn it off. But with no clear indication of which button increases or decreases the vibrations, you can have some annoying mishaps in trying to change the patterns. Is it a big deal? Not if you don’t care.

I still have my suspicions about the velvety smooth coving being PU (Polyurethane) as I did with the iVibe Select iPlease Rechargeable Bullet Vibe, mainly because I have owned two of Sensuelle’s older model bullets and the only thing that has noticeably been changed on this bullet is the motor and the additional button. Other than that, the design and materials are exactly the same. Nonetheless, I’m still a fan. The whole “Submersible” thing kinda annoys me because there doesn’t appear to be a reason as to why it shouldn’t be water-proof, but I digress.

The vibrations are buzzy but very strong. I repeat this is a buzzy vibrator. And while buzzy vibrations are usually shitted on, I have to say that this is my favorite vibrator out of all the ones I tried out for this guide. I love this bullet. The vibrations are fast-past and makes me cum every time I use it. Literally never fails. I primarily utilize the first 5, yes 5 functions because they are just intensities. It’s what I always wanted. Despite my annoyance with the buttons, I still highly recommend it because of how strong the vibrations are.

Charged Vooom 10 Function Rechargeable Bullet Vibe

Design and Materials

The Charged Vooom by 10 Function Rechargeable Bullet Vibe from Screaming O features a cylinder shape with a rounded tip, and its shape is the definition of a traditional-looking bullet. It’s made of ABS plastic and is rechargeable via USB, water-proof, and has 10 vibration functions and comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Review

When I first got my hands on the Charged Vooom Bullet from Screaming O, I was expecting to be disappointed. I was expecting an annoyingly buzzy vibrator that wouldn’t get me off and annoy the hell out of my clit. This bullet doesn’t necessarily give off the aesthetic of looking like a powerful vibe, but we all should know better than to judge a book by its cover right? If I were to give a real-life size comparison, I would say that it’s the size of a pinky, if not shorter. Making this bullet the smallest one in the line-up. And yes, you can fit this into a toy that allows for a vibe in the cavity.

When it comes to the vibrations, this vibe is surprisingly powerful and rumbly. That’s right. This small bullet has rumbly vibrations, and they reach deep. There is some buzz now, but it’s minimal. My only gripe with the vibrations is that I would have liked a fourth speed. Other than that, my time with this bullet was enjoyable. Screaming O did a pretty good job on the motor for this bullet. It’s also pretty quiet. I liked was the simplicity of this bullet and its packaging. No bells and whistles. Just the bullet and the charger. The more I use the Charged Vooom Bullet, the more I wish that this vibe was around when I first started buying sex toys. Definitely would have picked this one up.

I personally like using this vibe as a lazy masturbation tool. Some might want to use it during sex because it’s size allows for it to fit comfortably between partners without causing “The vibrator is getting in the way” issues. And I will agree that it would be an ideal toy for that. I personally prefer a longer shaped vibe that gives me a little extra reach depending on what position I’m in. That’s just my personal preference. If you’re looking for something relatively cheap, decently powerful, and easy to use, I highly recommend it. You really can’t go wrong with this one.

Sensuelle 15-Function Rechargeable Remote Control Pleasure Panty

Design and Materials

The Sensuelle 15-Function Rechargeable Remote Control Pleasure Panty is remote control panty vibe. Its water-proof, made of silicone and ABS Plastic, has 15 vibration functions, comes with a rechargeable remote, storage bag, and Black lacey Cotton Panty. It features a cylinder shape with a flat rounded top and a loop string in the base.

Review

I really wanted to like this bullet because it was made by one of my favorite sex toy companies that put me on to the game of powerful bullet-vibes. This, however, is a straight-up disappointment for many reasons. The bullet itself is pretty cool. Has a nice classic-looking design. I also like the loop string because if I need to, I can get a comfortable hold of it in case I don’t feel like touching the bullet itself. The vibrations are powerful, going more on the buzzy side than anything else, but I can get off with it, no problem. I like the bullet. Just the bullet.

The issue is everything else. For one, the remote. I know this is a specialty item intended to be used as a remote control panty vibe, but that damn remote has got to go. I like that it’s small, has 3 buttons, and is easy to use. You turn the bullet on then put it in the panty, and hand the remote to your partner, so they control the vibrations. The biggest issue with this bullet is that when you turn it on to activate the vibrations in the bullet, the remote itself also vibrates.

To make matters worse, it vibrates with some of the most annoying buzzy vibrations possible. There’s no way you can use this in public without someone hearing it.  And the buzzy vibrations are just annoying in the hand. On top of that, the bullet cannot be controlled without the remote.  Making it a no for solo-play if you don’t want to use the remote.

And that panty? One size fits who? I’m guessing for the sake of packaging and not having to make the concept of the product complicated, they went with a one-size-fits-all panty and made it available in two colors: Black and White. I will say that they did an excellent job in the style of panty with the adjustable strings, but you can’t anticipate who is going to buy your product and most “one size fits all products” tend to fall on the smaller side anyways. It’s cute, it kind of fit. I’m not mad at it, but I would have liked to an option for a larger size. The bullet by itself is great, and the panty is okay, but the remote is ultimately what makes me hesitant about recommending it.

Aria Vitality Bullet with Tips & Wireless Remote

Design and Materials

The Aria Vitality Bullet with Tips & Wireless Remote from Blush Novelties is made of ABS plastic, is waterproof, rechargeable, a wireless remote that is also rechargeable, three TPE (Thermo-elastomer) tips, and features ten vibration functions (5 Speed Settings and 5 Unique Patterns).

Review

The Aria Vitality Bullet with Tips & Wireless Remote is what I like to call “A dream that entered into reality.” For starters with the way I like to masturbate, I love that I can control the bullet with a remote. That means I don’t have to touch the actual bullet when I want to increase the speed. I also love that you can increase and decrease the speeds as well as switch over to patterns. In case you’re wondering, no you cannot change the speed at which the patterns operate. In other words, you cannot increase or decrease the intensity of the patterns. As a bonus, you do have the option to use the bullet without the remote if you want.

It also has a lot to offer with the included remote and added tips. The tips allow you do experience different sensations with the bullet. My favorite tips are the one that looks like bunny ears because both ears transmit the vibrations well and when placed on either side of my clit feel amazing, and the one with the slanted tip because I like using it for pinpoint stimulation, though you can use the one with the bunny ears for the same purpose. If you want to have an even easier time removing the tips from the bullet, just put some water-based lubricant on the inside of the tips before putting them on the bullet. It will slide right off when you’re ready.

I was debating whether or not I should even bother to get into the specifics on TPE, but will anyway since I feel like I should. Thermo-elastomer or TPE is a mix of copolymers. The specific material that the tips are made of contains no synthetic fragrance, phthalate, paraffin, or latex. Many male masturbators are made with TPE, so it’s not a crazy bad material, just one I wouldn’t recommend investing in if you plan to share your toy with multiple partners. In this case, however, the tips are more so as an additional amenity to the bullet and are therefore optional. If you are considering using the tips with multiple partners, I don’t suggest keeping them around for too long. And by them, I mean the tips.

What really got me about this bullet was that it has 5 speeds or straight consistent, un-interrupted vibration. Do you hear the harps playing? Not many bullets come with this many speeds, and I don’t know why. I would describe the vibrations as rumbly and fast-paced. They reach deep, and the tips allow me to further concentrate those vibrations where I want them to go. As a woman with a clit of steel, I find that I usually cum around the fourth speed. If you’re looking for something compact with some serious power that’s also remote controlled, I highly recommend this one.

Because of its super compact size, it can fit into a toy or dildo that allows for a bullet in its cavity. There has to be a better way to say that. Like, dildo compatible? Cavity compatible? I’m still working on it. However you say it, it fits and being able to control the vibrations with the remote, means no going back and forth with switching speeds and patterns. The remote is also rechargeable, so they bonus points for me not having to hunt around my house for batteries. Additionally, I also enjoy the haptic feedback that I get from the remote when pressing the buttons. If you’re only interested in just buying the bullet without the remote and tips, click here.

Final Thoughts

My main goal with this bullet guide was to put you on to something new and more importantly, showcase different vibes and how they differ from each other. When looking for a bullet-vibe, I think it’s important to look at the materials a bullet is made of, the size, and the power. While some manufacturers might tell you how long a vibrator will last on a single charge, it honestly varies from user to user, which is why I don’t make a big fuss over battery life, unless it’s significant. I think this particular mix has something for everyone and every budget.
