Leaf Bloom+ Review

Before I met the Leaf Bloom+, I met its predecessor, the Leaf Bloom. We met in a Manhattan sex shop on cold winter evening. It looked exactly like the Bloom+. Its biggest discrepancy was its vibrations. They were weak, buzzy, and not to my liking. This was a little bit before I discovered what types of vibrations I liked. But even before I discovered what I liked, I knew it wasn’t that. So when I was given the opportunity to review the Leaf Bloom+, I was hoping that some major improvements to the vibrations were made.

Design and Materials

The Leaf Bloom+ is made of silicone, is waterproof, and rechargeable. The Bloom+ is a dual stimulator that features 3 speeds (intensities) and 2 functions (patterns) in both motors. There is a really nice storage bag included and comes with an added travel lock feature.

The best way I can describe what the Bloom+ looks like is to imagine a leaf with a really long stem that tappers into a bulbous tip and both ends vibrate. The silicone is matte and feels matte and soft to the touch. The neck is pretty flexible and has allot bounce back to it, so you can’t set it into one position and expect it to stay that way. I find the color choice interesting to.

Its predecessor had a bright green nature-esc aesthetic to it whereas the Bloom+ is this somewhat bright purple color which isn’t reminiscent of anything in nature. Which I thought was the theme of the whole product line. I think they could have used a darker green for their Leaf+ line of products instead of the purple in my opinion.

In Use

The BMS Factory informational video that I watched on YouTube says the Bloom+ is supposed to be 30% stronger in vibrations from its predecessor. I can agree to that. Even though I haven’t touched the Bloom in years, I remember how those vibrations felt because I had so much hopes for it when I first saw it online and was disappointed when I met it in person. They were annoyingly buzzy in both ends and I had a hard time wrapping my head around how it could get someone off with vibrations so weak.

I can definitely feel an improvement on the vibrations on the Leaf Bloom+. There allot stronger but still left me wanting more. The vibrations in the lower half or the stem are ridiculously buzzy which didn’t much for my clit. I could in no way get off with it. I was really disappointed by that since I knew right away that the stem would be solely dedicated to my clit. The vibrations in the bud however did satisfy me. While I would have liked a 4th or 5th speed (intensity) setting on the Boom+, the vibrations were rumbly and the shape of the Bloom+ gave me some good g-spot stimulation. The pointy end of the bud allowed the clit stimulation I was missing from the stem.

Speaking of the bud, I enjoyed thrusting with it but more interestingly enjoyed just putting it into my vagina and letting it vibrate on the highest speed (intensity) possible while using a different toy on my clit. It stayed in place and didn’t move or come out. You can operate both motors simultaneously, but this decrease the amount of playtime you will have with the Bloom+.

Some Personal Suggestions on How the Bloom+ could be used (though I didn’t try them) is as follows

  • Couples vibrator- It can fit comfortably between two partners
  • Rimming around the anus (would not recommend inserting as it does not have a flared base)
  • Can be used on the penis for some added stimulation

Final Thoughts

While the Leaf Bloom+ did leaf me wanting for more [Insert comedic drum], I do feel that the improvement in the motor has set it on the right track. I’m my personal opinion, buzzy vibrations aren’t terrible, just different strokes for different folks. Not everyone is like me and like a vibrator that feels like a power tool on your clit. I would recommend The Leaf Bloom+ to someone who want a moderately powerful vibrator that offers some versatility.
