Who Said Pleasure Couldn’t be Sweet? Rock Candy Toys Review

Why hello there! Long time, no vibe. Let’s get back into the swing of things, shall we?

I always considered sex toys to be comparable to candy. The pleasure they give can be compared to the ooey-gooey center of a piece of chocolate or crispy edges around a fluffy pancake covered in buttery-flavored syrup. The sensations and feelings that come from all things positively sex-related are sweet. So it makes sense that when I discovered a brand of sex toys that embodies such things within their entire sex toy line, I was geeked—and even more excited when I was presented with the opportunity to review three products from their brand: Rock Candy Toys. The entire line consists of affordable priced battery operated and body-safe sex toys and dildos that resemble are themed around candy, with their assortment of fun colors and even sweeter names.

Let’s talk about battery-operated vibes for a sec. Battery-operated vibrators have somehow managed to get a bad rap over the years with the invention and innovation that are rechargeable vibrators. Mainly because some folks don’t like having to sacrifice their remote batteries for their pleasure. We often forget the benefits of battery-operated devices, especially when we didn’t have access to rechargeable options. For one, they are easy to use, can be pretty darn powerful, and is always an excellent option for beginners new to the wonderful work of sex toys.

They are also easier to conceal and hide from prying eyes without the fear of them accidentally turning on, as you can remove the batteries and stuff them pretty much anywhere. When I first started buying some of my first vibrators, most of them were battery-operated. I would remove the batteries and shove them into my nightstand or underwear drawer without the worry of it knocking into something and turning on by mistake in the middle of the night or when I wasn’t home. Additionally, for the most part, battery-operated vibrators are usually cheaper than their rechargeable counterparts. And these are so freaking cute it not even funny.

Jelly Bean Curved Bullet and the Suga Stick

Design and Materials

The Jelly Bean is a curved bullet made of ABS plastic with a polyurethane coating, is splash-proof with 4 powerful functions (3 speeds and 1 pulse pattern), and is powered by 4 replaceable LR44 batteries, with a set included. It comes in 3 colors: Blue, Pink, and Purple. I have the Purple color.

The Suga Stick is a vibrator with a cylindrical design featuring a long extended neck, tapering into a bulbous round ball. It is made of ABS plastic with a polyurethane coating with 5 functions (3 speeds, 2 pulsating patterns), and is powered with a single AAA battery which is not included. It comes in 4 colors: Blue Pink, Purple, and Red. I have the color Blue.

When it comes to the Jelly Bean, I would say it’s one of the largest bullet-style vibes that I own in respect to what a traditional bullet-style vibe looks like. However, you wouldn’t really notice due to its curvaceousness. The curvature of this bullet, along with its size, is comfortable to hold in combination with the velvety feel its polyurethane coating. It’s also light and small enough to fit into my pocket. Without contradiction, the bullet is sizable, but I personally wouldn’t recommend using it for internal stimulation. Maybe some teasing around the vaginal entrance and some light rimming. I also wouldn’t recommend pairing it with a dildo that allows for a small vibrator to be placed in its cavity. It won’t fit. Trust me. I tried it so you wouldn’t have to.

I would describe the vibrations as buzzy. While buzzy vibes aren’t bad, if they aren’t strong enough, they can feel annoying to some like myself. Because I was using the Jelly Bean right out of the box, the vibrations were strong and consistent. The tip of the jelly bean is round and wide. I felt most of the stimulation on my clit and the top part of my vulva. The vibrations reach deep enough to get me off, but I feel like a fourth intensity would have really upped the ante. The pattern is sweet for edging, which can help intensify orgasms. I’ll be touching more on that in another blog post soon.

The Suga Stick is a compact version of the traditional cylindrical battery-operated vibrators I’ve tried in the past. It’s quite slim and light in the hand, making it almost effortless to hold. The design, though simplistic, is quite versatile. The tip is a tiny ball great for both broad and pinpoint stimulation. It reminds me of the sugar crystal sticks I would by when I was a kid. In fact, there is a tiny ball on the bottom of the stick, just like the Suga Stick, so the aesthetic is right on the money.

The vibrations are buzzy with some slight rumble. It got me off, but not in the way I would find to be ideal, or at least what I know my orgasms can be with a slightly stronger vibe. Even though I used brand new AAA’s, I found the vibrations to be annoying to use for too long on my clit. She can be quite fussy at times. I felt like I had to work a little bit harder for my orgasm. I didn’t feel that way with the Jelly Bean, and I’m not exactly sure why. I found myself pressing it into my clit at times, which did get me off, but then there were times where I would use it again and end up defaulting to a stronger, less buzzier vibe. I would say, however, that I am a member of the “Clit of Steel” club and usually require stronger vibes to get me off. So if your someone new to vibes or you don’t need a ton of stimulation to orgasm, the Suga Stick will supply you with way more than what you need.

With that being said, the vibrations are felt mostly in the tip and not in the base, so you won’t necessarily feel a ton of buzziness in the hands. I appreciate the slim profile of the device and love the haptic feedback I get from the one-button operation, which also makes it ridiculously easy to use. I also like that you don’t have to cycle to through the functions to turn it off, as a three-second hold down of the button will do just that.

 Suga Daddy Silicone Dildo

Design and Materials

The Suga Daddy is a dildo made entirely of medical grade silicone and features a realistic head with a thick twisted swirled shaft, and a flared suction-cup base, making it strap-on harness compatible, safe for anal stimulation. The Suga Daddy comes in four sizes: 5.5, 7, 8, and 9 inches with five color options: Blue, Pink, Purple, Light Flesh Tone, and Dark Flesh Tone. I have the color blue in size 5.5.

So here’s the thing, me and textured dildos have a love-hate relationship. My vagina seems to get confused when there is too much going on at the same time. She’s also a little finicky when it comes to textured dildos in general, so that’s more of a me thing than an it (the dildo) thing. All of the Suga Daddy dildos, in my opinion, have a human anatomy-looking head, which transitions nicely into the shaft and makes insertion a comfortable experience for me. That base makes it perfect for anal play, is strap-on harness compatible, and you can slap it on a wall or floor and go to town since it also has a suction cup in the base.

In the hand, the silicone has some plush to do it despite it not being a dual-density dildo. It’s not straight-up firm or rock hard. My vagina couldn’t really tell the difference in terms of its firmness, but someone new to the wonderful world of dildos might find it to be less intimidating compared to a dildo that’s completely frim with no give at all.

I can also appreciate the flexibility of the Suga Daddy when I’m thrusting with it, as it moves with me. For example, when I’m using a completely firm dildo that has absolutely no give to it, it can feel so stiff inside me that causes me to stiffen up when during use, which can be uncomfortable. Especially when I’m getting into the throws of things while thrusting, and I’m moving around a lot. Thrusting with this was a dream, and I loved how the swirls felt. Just a delicious combo overall. No pun intended.

The only gripe I have, which is more so on me than the dildo, is that I regret is not getting a larger size. I was a bit apprehensive about getting a larger size because I thought the texture of the Suga Daddy because if the texture. I feel like a 7 or an 8 would have felt even better, as I found myself craving some more girth. So ill be picking up a larger one in the future for sure.

Final Thoughts

I have to say that I am in love with the vibrancy and variety of color options within this whole brand’s line of toys. I love the playful designs and overall theme of the line. These are sex toys that are not only fun to look at but even more fun to experience without breaking the bank. Whether you’re new to sex toys or just starting out, I think the Rock Candy Toy’s line of products has something for everyone. With that being said, I would love to see some rechargeable options like a bullet-vibe and wand added to the lineup. I have no doubt they would look and feel amazing.
